MCP over OAuth and live demos
All eight v5 starters now include MCP, with separate connections for users and admins. Both use OAuth. An AI client acts through a signed-in account after the user approves access.
All eight starters also have live demos running in production. Getting them deployed helped us find and fix auth and deployment bugs.
#MCP and AI coding tools
- Switching workspaces resets MCP write consent in the Convex starters.
- In TanStack + Cloudflare D1, signing up or verifying your email during a consent flow returns you to that flow afterward.
- The starters support all the major AI coding tools through one shared set of project instructions.
#Deployment and auth fixes
- Both Cloudflare D1 starters run on production Workers and send auth emails from a verified sender.
- TanStack + Supabase and TanStack + Convex deploy to Vercel.
- Email verification links, password recovery emails and onboarding work end to end in the Convex starters.
- New accounts in Next.js + PlanetScale go to onboarding after their first login.
- Next.js + PlanetScale moved from MySQL to Postgres on Neon. The docs explain how to enable optional realtime in production.
- Seeded test accounts in TanStack + Supabase can sign in with the seed password again.
#Website and Component Kit
- New home page and redesigned changelog.
- v5 docs with a search dialog. All eight live demos are linked from the navigation and docs.
- A new ChatGPT-style component library in the Component Kit, including charts and maps.
- Component Kit source is included on Startup plans and above. Pricing and FAQs have been updated to match.
- In September, Next.js + Supabase got refreshed landing, pricing and changelog pages, with a shared footer across public pages.
