Next.js 15 and the v4 groundwork
Ultimate is on Next.js 15.1.0 and Supabase 2.0.0. We updated the async request APIs, reworked session handling and tagged 4.0.0-0, the first v4 prerelease, on Christmas Day.
I then started rebuilding the projects area with React Query, a table, status filters and comments. November's work was mostly Stripe fixes and inline code docs.
#Next.js 15
Cookies, headers and params are async in Next.js 15. The codemod handled most of the changes; we fixed the rest by hand.
We also reworked how middleware reads the user session and removed its redundant updateSession logic.
#Projects table
- Projects load through React Query.
- The new ProjectsTable has pagination and a create project dialog.
- Projects can be filtered by status with faceted filters.
- Added project comments and improved user avatar handling.
#Fixes from November
- Prices attached to archived Stripe products are no longer synced.
- Fixed Stripe payment gateway issues in Ultimate and Pro.
- Added an oops page for unexpected errors.
- Added TSDoc and inline comments to the billing module and context files.
