Building the Nextbase website and store

Late December and most of January went into the Nextbase website: the landing page, the pricing tables, and the Stripe checkout behind them.

Checkout moved to Stripe's one-time payment mode, and we wrote a webhook test handler that works with Stripe test mode, so purchases can be tried out before going live.

#Landing page

  • A list of the major features.
  • A who-is-it-for section.
  • A promo video.
  • Testimonials with avatars and reviews.
  • A public roadmap.

#Pricing and checkout

The pricing tables went through several rounds over the month. Most of January 11 went into the Stripe webhook handler.

We added Twitter login, turned Google on and back off, and then removed the extra providers for now.
